Peer Counseling


Dear Students;

The Peer Counseling program, which was carried out as a pilot study with our volunteer students in the fall and spring semesters of 2021-2022, has been completed. Our main goal is; Our aim is to strengthen our students' communication skills, to guide students who will just start our university, to support volunteer students who receive education on social and academic issues throughout the year and to other students who want to get help within the scope of the Peer Counseling program. For this purpose, our students selected as Peer Counselors will be given a total of 90 minutes of training, 45 minutes of theory and 45 minutes of practical training, in six sessions.

Human as an individual; wants to be understood, to talk, to rest, to be accepted and to share. For this reason, it needs bonds established with feelings of intimacy and closeness in trust. Since we have similar developmental experiences with our peers, YOU ARE VALUABLE YTU STUDENTS who can best understand and help them.



Application requirements to be a Peer Counselor in the Peer Counseling program in the Fall and Spring semesters of the 2022-2023 Academic Year:

To have completed the 1st and 2nd semesters and not reached the graduation stage,

Having an academic achievement average of 3.00 and above,

To be within the valid score range in the evaluation of conformity with the standards of the Peer Counseling Program to be carried out by the ODEK Psychological Counseling Unit.
